About Us
Once upon a time, a dynamic team of 3 friends having experience in dealing with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) cases, collaborated with a vision of providing community services and professional help to the suffering drug users of the north-eastern region. The objective is to promote Meaningful Involvement of People Who Use Drugs (MIPUD) and create a recovery support system for them and their family members. With this idea in mind, the startup project of REVIVAL WELLNESS SOCIETY was born. We created an executive board, consisting of members from various fields (lawyer, ex law enforcement officer and psychologist) who acts as direct advisories to RWS. We provide a complete residential rehabilitation facility with full time support staffs. The patients are monitored daily through counselling, reviewing and follow up programs. We follow the internationally acclaimed 12 th step recovery program which includes physical, mental and spiritual recovery, combined with scientifically proven evidence-based treatment model. Our service providers being recovering addicts, gives an added advantage to understand the mentality of a substance abuser which in turn helps in the professional counselling and rehabilitation process of the addicts. Many of our recovering clients are living examples of “We Do Recover”
Since then, we are also involved in various kinds of awareness and social cause activities. RWS in association with Assam police organized an awareness program and distributed masks to public in relation to the safety measures due to COVID 19. Also organized a campaign in association with Global Organization for Life Development (GOLD) in relation to harm deduction program. On the occasion of International Youth Day 2020 observed by Youth Will foundation, our Treasurer/ Centre Co-Ordinator Mr. Prangan Das delivered a motivational online video message to the youths on experience, strength and hope. Our Secretary/Project Co-Ordinator Mr. Jugabrata Hazarika is also an inspiring role model in the field of substance abuse prevention, actively involved in spreading awareness on HIV and Hepatitis C prevention. Our goal is to provide a platform for the substance abusers to revive themselves for the betterment and welfare of the society as a whole. We truly believe in creating a community of recovering addicts and with organized team effort try to minimize the ambivalent issues related to drug addiction.
We hope the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MSJE) along with Ministry of Social Welfare (MSW) recognize and support our contributions for the social cause. Together we can help build a region free of drug addiction and guide our young generation towards healthy living and positive thinking.

The expert health professionals of ‘Revival Wellness Society’ caters to patients from all over Guwahati. We encourage our residents to participate in community activities to promote integrated health. Here we also create awareness and educate people about Mental Health.
